Multinational corporation, a big company that operates in two or more countries.

MNC 是 "Multinational Corporation" 的缩写，中文意思是“跨国公司”。这是指在一个以上国家设立业务运作、销售产品或提供服务的公司。

Huawei is one of the largest corporations in the world.

Our company became an MNC to increase its customer base.

Social Enterprise

A business that tries to reach certain social goals apart from making profit.

Our company is a social enterprise and cares about environment. For example, it tries to compensate for CO2 it produces. CO2 在这里指的是二氧化碳（Carbon Dioxide）。

4. Talk about your company

When the company began to exist. we can say To Be Launched or To Be Started. For example

• The company was started in 2012.
• The company was launched just a few years ago but it has already reached some important milestones.

Where the company is geographically. We can say To Be Based In or To Be Located At/In.

• The company is based in San Francisco, California.
• The company is located at IQ Business Center. (这里at指的是建筑的名称，比如上海金茂大厦)

To give a job to someone. we can say To Employ or To Hire. e.g. The company employs 2000 people.

(4). To try to reach a particular group. We can say To target or a target audience.

• Teenagers are the target audience for our app.
• Our app targets college-aged adults.

(1). When a company buys another company. We can say To Acquire or An Acquisition.

• In 2005 Google acquired Android for $50 million.
• The acquisition gave Google the tools it needed to compete in a market dominated by Microsoft and Apple.

(2). Two separate companies are combined together to create a new organization. We can say To Merge or A Merger.

The Exxon and Mobil deal is the perfect example of a successful merger.In 1998,Exxon and Mobil made headlines after announcing their plans to merge.

(3). Subsidiary: A company that is owned or controlled by another larger company.

After a merger in 2019 our company became a subsidiary of EDB group.

(4). A Branch Office: An office of a company in a different geographical location.

This is our branch office, our main office is in the US.
